Our Community Programs
At VFW Post 4305, our commitment to veterans and our community is at the heart of everything we do. Through our diverse programs, we strive to serve, honor, and support those who have sacrificed for our nation.
Americanism
This program promotes patriotism and civic responsibility. We educate and inspire our community about the flag, our nation's history, and the values of freedom and democracy.
Community Service
Our members are active in a variety of local projects, from volunteering at food banks to participating in charity events. We are dedicated to making a positive impact right here in our community.
Honor Guard
Our Honor Guard provides a final, dignified tribute to deceased veterans at their funeral services. We perform flag presentations and a rifle salute as a way to honor their service and sacrifice.
M.O.C. (Military Order of the Cootie)
The M.O.C. is an auxiliary organization of the VFW that focuses on visiting and assisting hospitalized veterans. They work to bring a sense of comfort and camaraderie to those receiving care.
POW/MIA
We are committed to the mission of ensuring that all U.S. prisoners of war and those missing in action are never forgotten. We hold ceremonies and educational events to honor their service and raise awareness.
Safety
This program focuses on promoting safety awareness in our community. We provide information and resources on topics like home safety, fire prevention, and personal security.
Taps
We provide the ceremonial bugle call "Taps" at military funerals, memorial services, and other commemorative events. This solemn tradition is a final farewell and a tribute to the service of our veterans.
Toys for Tots
During the holiday season, we proudly partner with Toys for Tots to collect new, unwrapped toys. These donations help provide a message of hope to less fortunate children in our area.
Veterans Outreach
Our dedicated outreach program connects with veterans to ensure they are aware of and can access all the benefits and assistance they have earned. We provide a vital link to local and national resources.
