At VFW Post 4305, our Americanism program is dedicated to fostering patriotism and civic responsibility in our community. We believe that understanding and honoring our nation’s history and values is a vital part of what it means to be an American. Our goal is to inspire pride and respect for our country and its symbols, especially the U.S. flag.
What We Do
- Flag Education: We conduct presentations for schools and community groups on the history and proper etiquette of the American flag.
- Patriotic Programs: We sponsor and support student essay contests like the Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy to encourage young people to reflect on patriotism and their role in society.
- Civic Events: We organize and participate in patriotic events, including Flag Day and Memorial Day ceremonies, to honor our nation’s heritage and heroes.
